Gorontalo Regency

Gorontalo is one of the regencies in Gorontalo Province. Gorontalo has new education program to be a clever regency in 2015. The students are given scholarship by government, such as Gorontalo Siap for students to continue to university.

Also, to make the regency a tourism place, such as Pentadio Resort and the menara (tower) and the zoo. To support the clever regency in 2015, all the students in Gorontalo Regency try to follow the competition to be a student's who have achievements so this is presence from the students in Gorontalo Regency to support the program.

In our school, the government is supported by the government to become an international school and that's an example from the government's program.

Meet the Students of Class X-1 (10th grade)

X-1 class is one of the classes in SMA 1 Limboto. It has 30 students with 7 boys and 23 girls. Then, wali kelas (class teacher) of X-1 is miss Nancy Rahman S.Pd. She is one of vice headmasters in SMA 1 Limboto. The leader of student in class X-1 is Irmawati Kiu, she is emotional when a student is very noisy.

Some students in our class have followed extracurricular and intracurricular activities: like paskibraka, OSIS (student organization), PMR, scout, English Debating in our province, Miss and Mister Smanza, and the last competition of UUD 1945 (unfortunately it’s canceled). Besides that, two students of X-1 grade got the winner and runner-up in the first semester. Last year Miss Nancy Rahman went to the Jakarta with some students to follow the competition of UUD 1945.

Actually, student of X-1 grade are 33 students but, 3 students had moved to MAN Insan Cendekia Gorontalo (another school). Although X-1 class has bad traditions. Do you know what they are? Sometimes students of X-1 make an infringement, such as be very noisy when the other classes are studying. We have made some teachers angry with us. On Saturday was ‘penilaian kelas’ (classroom assessment). Before, we did cleaning the class together. Last week, after school we come back to school for cleaning the class. but, participation of X-1 students just a little. Especially the boys. They are so lazy. Only some of them who came to school. Fortunately, girls of X-1 grade are very creative. So, all of X-1 girls are decorate class though we felt tired and hungry. Therefore we want to ask participation to all of students in X-1 class for loving our class without making infringement.

Anyway in class X-1 has “cinta lokasi” (location of love), some students fell in love there. But, we always guard our friendship. In the front of X-1 grade has slogan. The slogan is “no smoking”. Up to now, friendship between us is still tight. There are many characters in students of X-1 class, like fussy, diligent, helpful, brave, creative, lazy, intelligent, bad tempered, naughty, calm, and still many others. Almost all girls in X-1 class use a veil, only to girl does not use it. Finally, with the different characteristics, we can join in X-1 class and try to be a favorite class, not only in grade mark but in behavior. We will create the best for our class.

The New Leader: Inauguration of Barack Obama

Now... Barack Obama is the president of America. We talked about him in school. He is the first black American president. And Barack Obama even stayed in Indonesia when he was a child! Many people think Barack Obama is very intelligent.

At 20 January 2009, America celebrated the inauguration of Barack Obama, after that Obama gave a speech in front of the capitol. But, he didn't say anything about Palestina and Israel. Many people are disappointed because they think it's a big problem. Why do you think he didn't say anything?

For the inauguration, many people came from various territories (states), and millions of people were there.

Now... fantastic... Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, also is a new leader.

In the cabinet of Barack Obama, he chose the smart people that have intelligence. For example, Steven Chu is the Minister of Energy... Joe Biden is the Vice President, Tom Daschle he is the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The president chose some women for seats in the cabinet also, for example Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Barack Obama has a lot of support from the society and other countries. Many people think Barack Obama can change the world... with his new position, Barack Obama says about the global economy that he will do anything for to handle the negative impact of economic crisis that is affecting many people. One of these is lowering taxes and it can help the American society and other countries.
